Yes there is ample parking.

The process usually takes 4 weeks in total. You will begin with an initial online assessment, followed by an in-person assessment. Each assessment will take 1 hour.

Our children’s autism assessments can be done from as early as 2 years old.

We provide professional insights with warmth, compassion, and a deep understanding of child development.

At Bloom Clinical, we understand that assessments can feel overwhelming for children. We make the process child-friendly by:

  • Creating a warm, welcoming environment with child-appropriate materials.
  • Using a play-based approach for younger children.
  • Having clinicians who are experienced in working with children and making them feel comfortable.
  • Explaining processes in age-appropriate language.
  • Respecting the child’s pace and providing breaks as needed.
  • Incorporating the child’s interests into assessment activities where possible.
  • Using visual supports and clear, simple instructions.

Our multidisciplinary team combines clinical expertise with a warm and approachable manner. Our goal is to make the experience as comfortable and supportive as possible for both the child and their family.

We understand that for some people, an in-person assessment may not be possible. Therefore, we are pleased to say that for adults, undertaking the assessments online is a viable option.

Unfortunately, children will require an in-person assessment.

Yes. Our assessments follow NICE guidelines and are conducted by qualified clinicians. Our reports are recognised by the NHS, schools, local authorities, and employers across Milton Keynes and the rest of the UK.

We use gold-standard diagnostic tools in line with NICE guidelines.

We will ask you to complete Questionnaires that screen for autism and highlight your skills. These include the Autism Qoutient (AQ)Empathy Qoutient (EQ), Camoflauging Autistic Traits Questionnaire (CAT-Q) and a strengths and difficultly questionnaire. If you agree, a Developmental Questionnaire will also be sent to an informant (e.g., a parent, sibling or spouse). These can easily be completed online or, if you prefer, via Word document to be forwarded. The Sensory Processing Measure assessment tool will be sent via online link for completion.

For face-to-face assessments, we will use the (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule) ADOS-2, which is a mixture of talking and task-based activities.
