For children under 6, please contact us directly to discuss tailored assessment options.
Our gold-standard assessment package offers a comprehensive, holistic evaluation of children and young people aged 6 to 18. This multidisciplinary assessment integrates key components from our individual Autism, ADHD, Motor Coordination, and Sensory Integration assessments into one cohesive and robust process (Please refer to the tabs below for detailed information on each component included in this package.)
Designed to provide a detailed overview of a child or young person’s neurodevelopmental profile, this package identifies strengths, areas for growth, and specific challenges. The assessment supports a clearer understanding of how a young person functions across settings—at home, at school, and in the wider community.
Particularly valuable in educational contexts, this assessment supports improved academic outcomes, enhances social communication strategies, and provides the clinical evidence often required for applications such as an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP).
Our approach is rooted in clinical excellence and aligned with NICE guidelines, ensuring that findings are recognised and respected across healthcare, education, and allied services.
As a parent or caregiver, you know your child best. If you’ve noticed that they behave, communicate, or develop differently from their peers, or if they seem to be missing key developmental milestones—it may be time to consider a neurodevelopmental assessment.
At Bloom Clinical, we offer comprehensive, multidisciplinary assessments designed to provide clarity, answers, and a clear pathway forward. Our combined evaluation is the most efficient and cost-effective way to gain a holistic understanding of your child’s needs, supported by a personalised care plan for future development and support.
A key element of our assessment process is always providing a full sensory integration assessment incorporated. Conducted by certified Sensory Integration Practitioners, this evaluation identifies individual sensory preferences and challenges, equipping families with tailored strategies to enhance everyday functioning and wellbeing.
Our assessments are clinically robust, holistic, and grounded in evidence-based practice. Each assessment is conducted by a highly specialist multidisciplinary team, including professionals with advanced expertise and certifications in neurodevelopmental conditions. The process is medically led by a Consultant Paediatrician with a specialist interest in neurodevelopment, ensuring fidelity to NICE guidelines and alignment with national standards for formal diagnosis—where criteria are met.
At Bloom Clinical, we are committed to providing gold-standard care that supports greater understanding and long-term positive outcomes for children, young people, and their families.

Our comprehensive evaluations are designed to provide the answers you need to move forward with confidence.
A child ADHD Assessment consists of the following stages:
All of our assessments include a full overview of ADHD, including sensory processing needs, conducted by highly specialised certified sensory integration practitioners for a comprehensive assessment and holistic evaluation of needs and strengths.
An ADHD assessment is more than just confirming a diagnosis. It offers valuable insights into how ADHD impacts daily life and identifies specific areas where support is needed. Understanding the condition can unlock access to targeted resources, strategies, and therapies that make a real difference in managing challenges and embracing strengths.
For children, an assessment can provide clarity for parents and caregivers, enabling them to better understand their child’s needs and work with schools to implement appropriate support systems.
Our ADHD assessments are designed to address your unique circumstances, providing professional insights with respect, empathy, and care
The ADHD assessment process at Bloom Clinical begins with a detailed consultation to understand your concerns and gather a comprehensive developmental history. For children, this often involves input from parents, caregivers, and teachers.
Our assessments utilise evidence-based tools that are nationally recognised clinically and techniques to ensure a reliable and thorough diagnosis. The process typically includes:
We understand that the assessment process can feel overwhelming, and our experienced clinicians work to create a comfortable and supportive environment for both children and their caregivers.
The first step of our assessment process is to complete some screening information so that we can find out more about you and determine together if an assessment is the right next step.
It’s also an opportunity for you to ask more about our assessments and let us know of any needs or preferences you may have. This can be done by telephone or via a referral form.

The Conners-4, the Conners 4 is a modern version of the Conners Rating Scales, which were originally developed by Dr. C. Keith Conners. These scales are used to help diagnose ADHD and evaluate its severity.
The Conners 4 is specifically designed to be more relevant and accurate for both children and adults. The Sensory Processing Measure assessment tool will be sent via online link for completion (if there are difficulties with this, a member of the team can call to go through the assessment and answers) as well as the interoception awareness questionnaire for completion.
With your permission, we will send out a variety of standardised clinical measures for completion to your child’s education setting.
We will talk with you online to explore your child’s experiences regarding attention, concentration, hyperactivity, executive functioning, relationships and organising and planning.
This session is online with caregivers only, the child is not typically required.
For face-to-face assessments, we will use the QB Test (this is for children 6years and over) as well as observational assessment tools.
The QB Test is a digital neuropsychological assessment that uses a combination of visual and auditory tasks to measure key behavioural characteristics that are often linked to ADHD.
It’s often used in conjunction with other diagnostic tools, such as the Conners 4, clinical interviews, and self-report questionnaires. If preferred, the QB Test can be arranged to be conducted online for those aged 14 years and above.
Once all the assessments tools are complete, an MDT meeting will be held to review all the information gathered and analyse the results collectively.
The information will be considered alongside the DSM-V diagnostic criteria to ensure a clinically robust diagnosis process.
Once the assessment and findings have been discussed, a report will be written by the team and sent to you. Our reports are comprehensive and include details of our assessment, information provided by you, a diagnosis if relevant, our understanding of your child’s difficulties, our recommendations for your child and lastly resources for you to explore.
You will receive a full, in-depth, clinically robust evaluation report. It will be important to take some time read, digest and carefully consider recommendations, at your own pace.
We recommend that you share our report with your GP along with any other health care professional who is supporting your child (e.g. GP, Paediatrician, etc). Our report can also be shared with your child’s education setting and used towards an EHCP – Education Health Care Plan.
*Please note, we will not be prescribing medication at this stage. A recommendations appendix letter will be attached with the report with next stages of an ADHD diagnosis, including evidence-based guidelines for treatment options.

All of our assessments include a full overview of Autism, including sensory processing needs, conducted by highly specialist certified sensory integration practitioners, for a comprehensive assessment of holistic evaluation of social communication, sensory and occupational needs.
An Autism assessment goes beyond confirming a diagnosis. It provides a detailed understanding of how Autism impacts an individual’s daily life, strengths, and areas requiring support. This knowledge can help inform strategies to foster growth, improve communication, and manage sensory or behavioural challenges.
For children, an assessment can guide their education and social development, ensuring they receive the necessary accommodations to thrive at school and in other settings. The assessment process at Bloom Clinical is built around your unique needs, delivering professional insights with care and respect.

At Bloom Clinical, we specialise in providing professional assessments for motor coordination and sensory processing challenges, in both children and young people. These comprehensive evaluations are designed to identify and understand the difficulties individuals may face in movement, coordination, and sensory integration, paving the way for tailored strategies and interventions that promote greater independence and well-being.
Located in St Albans, Hertfordshire, our clinic offers a compassionate and supportive environment where individuals and families can access expert care. Whether the challenges are affecting academic performance, daily routines, or personal relationships, our assessments provide the clarity needed to take positive steps forward.
Understanding Motor Coordination and Sensory Processing Challenges
Motor coordination refers to the ability to execute smooth, purposeful movements, such as writing, running, or using utensils. Difficulties in this area, often described as dyspraxia or developmental coordination disorder (DCD), can affect both fine motor skills (e.g., writing) and gross motor skills (e.g., balance or catching a ball). These challenges may result in frustration, low confidence, or difficulties with academic and social tasks.
Sensory processing involves how the brain interprets and responds to sensory input, such as touch, sound, and movement. Some individuals may experience sensory processing disorder (SPD), where the brain struggles to process sensory information effectively. This can lead to hypersensitivity or hyposensitivity to sensory stimuli, impacting daily activities and interactions.
At Bloom Clinical, we take a thorough and person-centred approach to every assessment. The process includes:
The process is conducted in a comfortable and supportive environment, with our experienced clinicians ensuring that every individual feels at ease
